My name is George, I live and work in Athens, Greece. I am a systems engineer dealing with contact center systems and, more often than not, working on the Media Processing Server (IVR platform) initially developed by Periphonics/Nortel and recently acquired by Avaya. In the context of work, I also deal with other systems manufactured by Avaya, and some from Aspect, so I tend to know more things about these vendor products than others. During the course of work I have also caught a glimpse of some Genesys products and other vendors in smaller degrees.
I have also worked for a couple of months as a customer representative by phone on an outsourcing call center company, which helped me immensely in grasping the basics about how call centers work from bottom up.
